Question by diggergld1: What is the best equipment to use to find gold in ore deposits?
Anyone know anything about www.accuratelocators.com ? Or about the products they sell? Or anything on Magnetometers for finding gold bearing ore?
Best answer:
Answer by Kristenite If you are really interested in this equipment, regardless of price. There is always a warranty, therefore if it is not what you want then you can return it with no problem. if there is not, then I would not trust this product. It cannot hurt to ask the product holder these questions.
ex.
What are the price ranges?
Which product do you recommend?
Does this item come with a warranty?
What type of warranty?
If I have to return this item do I have to pay shipping?
Is there a trial period for this product?
What is the worst thing they can to say to you? No? then tell them nice doing business with you, have a nice day.

Question by Bean: What kinds of equipment was used in mining in South Africa in the 1880s until now. How has it developed?
I'm doing a project on the history of mining (mostly gold and diamonds) in South Africa and am struggling to find information about the equipment and machinery used in the past when mining in SA first began. Any information or websites about the development in mining technology and equipment would be greatly appriciated.
Best answer:
Answer by dougger Most of the mining equipment used in the 1880s is very similar to what is used now. The difference is the power source to drive the machinery. Compressed air and water and steam were the main sources, plus animal power (human and beasts of burden). Drills, mechanical shovels have modernized a bit but not all that much. They just now use more electricity and diesel engines for power and traction. Compressed air is still often the preferred source of power for underground tools partly because it is cheap but also because it helps ventilation. But still the machines are made to be heavy and built for long term use, which means ultimately the work is still heavy and requires muscle. SOme weight has been taken off stopers (a drill for drilling upward) and other hand controlled tools, using air to hold them in place but still they are clumsy.
Mine design has not changed much although the designing of them is now usually down by computer. But the results often look the same, more or less.
Underground surveying and mine planning has changed a lot with the use of lasers, radios and computers. And GPS on surface .
Try looking at EMJ (engineering and mining journal) to get started. From there you can get plenty of general information and web sites.
You will be a bit surprised at how similar the tools in use today look like those from 120 years ago.

Question by Mj: How about gold ore and gold mining equipment design?
Best answer:
Answer by Celia Wang The mainstream gold ore dressing technology is generally through the ore dressing equipment (crusher) to broken gold ore, and then sent into the gold beneficiation (Ball mill) to be smashed and grinded. After the gravity separation and flotation, concentrate ore and tailings are extracted, and then by using chemical methods and final smelting, the finished product eventually become gold.
Gold crusher can also be employed since the major crusher for crushing gold ore in gold ore crushing industry. Jaw crusher will be the most typical gold mining gear for crushing ore. Jaw crusher can attain the crushing ratio of 4-6 as nicely as the form of last item is even. So gold jaw curshers are broadly utilized to crush substantial hardness, mid hardness and gentle rocks and ores just like slags, design materials, marble, etc.

i want to make it my career, (but thnx). i just want sum quality equipment so i can learn for now. plannin on goin to culinary college, so ill already have more expierience from cookin at home, ya know?
Best answer:
Answer by Ed Atun You can buy any of the major brand names ( the professional chef lines) but one of the joys of learning how to cook is to experiment with dozens of different pots and pans. Each one has different pro's and con's. But you will surprise yourself with the ones you like the best.
Do not spend any money on a fancy set. It is a waste of your money. But do go to garage sales and buy all sorts of utensils. Try to make it your goal to never spend more than for an item. In every household there are 0 pots that sit unused for years until someone moves. it can be yours for .
