This is an item used in panning for gold.
This item can be bought in Indiana as there are gold panning sites here.

We buy them at the local "mom and pop" hardware store where I used to grow up. E.g. "Northern Hardware". Maybe you have a similar kind of store where you live (Not HOME DEPOT)

    This is the first I have heard of gold in Indiana. Are you sure about that? I suppose that it is remotely possible that the glaciers might have deposited some there, but this is news to me. Why don’t you construct your own? It can’t be very difficult.

    You can order one from numerous sources, Kellyco, several sources in the GPAA’s Gold Prospectors magazine or build one yourself, it’s fairly simple and there are several online sites that have instructions for this.
    Lots of luck with your sluicing, hope your riffles are filled with gold.

    Start with a gold pan and a lot of patience. Even here in Oregon gold is pretty hard to find. You will likely find more fossils in Indiana than gold. Best of luck! I agree, may your riffles be filled with gold!
